I really love the series i'm reading right now so I am going to use this book for this assignment instead of my book club book. I really like the character, Camelia. She is independent and strong, even at times where she wants to just do what she wants, she knows that she has to do what's best for her. Except when she's getting death threats. The main character in books are usually my favorite if they're girls in high school or middle school because I pretend to be put into their position and think about what I would do. Or if something similar has happened to me, I compare what i did and what she did. That's how i connect with them and develop feelings for the book (Like being mad, excited upset about something that happened or being anxious to read. Or in the last book i read, throwing the book on the ground because what Ben did in the end made me really aggravated because of Camelia's feelings and history with him.) Anyways, I really like Camelia because after her and Ben "broke up" and she was trying to move onto Adam, Ben was getting jealous and started talking to Camelia about how he misses her and stuff. She knows that Ben probably isn't a great choice for a boy because of his history of going to court for an accused murder and because of his special gift. So she fights her enormous urge to show her feelings for Ben to him again. I look up to her for that because it must be really difficult for her after everything that happened between them, especially since he saved her life twice. Another reason I like Camelia is because she really cares for other people and puts their needs in front of hers. Even though she was going through a whole lot of dangerous and important stuff, she didn't want to worry her parents because her moms sister is in the mental hospital and has attempted suicide several times. She figured that they already had enough drama in their lives and didn't want them to stress out even more. So she only told a few of her close friends.
